$1.5m Contract for Major Middle East Port Development
08/01/26
Tekmar has been awarded a US$1.5 million contract by an existing Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC) customer to deliver engineered scour protection solutions for a major port infrastructure development in the Middle East.
The project will see Tekmar provide the engineering design and supply of bespoke scour protection systems, helping to ensure the long-term stability and resilience of critical port infrastructure in challenging marine conditions. Delivery of the solutions is scheduled for the third quarter of 2026.
Ports and harbours operate in some of the most demanding environments, where seabed mobility, hydrodynamic forces and long-term asset integrity are key considerations. Tekmar’s engineered scour protection solutions are designed to mitigate these risks, extending asset life and reducing long-term maintenance requirements.
Commenting on the award, Richard Turner, CEO of Tekmar, said:
“We are very pleased to be able to strengthen our relationship with this key customer. This award reflects the significant value Tekmar’s technology brings to the growing ports and harbours sector and highlights our continued success in developing a more diversified global footprint.”
This contract further strengthens Tekmar’s position in the ports and harbours market and underlines the Group’s ability to apply its offshore engineering expertise across a broader range of marine infrastructure projects worldwide.
